The original building was constructed around a 15th-century watchtower. In the 1700s, it was owned by the noble Marquises Monaldi family, who built a large house with a garden.
At the beginning of the 20th century, it passed to the Bartoccini family and later to the Congregazione di Carità of Perugia.
In 1930, Count Francesco Maria Guardabassi, a versatile artist, purchased the property and entrusted its reconstruction to the architect Ugo Tarchi of Rome.
In 1989, after a period of abandonment lasting nearly forty years, the property was acquired by its current owner, Maurizio Petrini, who restored its ancient splendor by renovating the villa, garden, and park.
The villa is surrounded by an Italian garden and a park with fountains, a swimming pool, a swan pond, and a small amphitheater. Both are of considerable historical interest, as they reflect the taste of the time.
